Brett’s iMessages Tip: In iMessages, you can “Hide Alerts” for only certain individuals or message groups by swiping to the left on a message and tapping the blue bell with a slash through it. You’ll now see a crescent moon on the left of that message and it will stop notifications for ONLY that conversation, but you’ll still receive notifications for all your other messages.

Jeff’s iMessages Tip: If you want to let someone know that you are on your way, you can certainly send them a quick text message. If you want to be more precise, there are some quick ways to do that in the Messages app. First, you can type “I’m at” and then hit the spacebar. The iPhone will give you a suggestion of sending your current location on the map. Second, you can type “I’ll be there in” and then hit the spacebar. If the iPhone thinks it knows where you are going (for example, if you are using Maps to navigate or you recently looked up a location), the iPhone will suggest how long it will take you to get there. Just tap the suggestion and the other person will know where to expect you.
